The Beginning

Two lonely souls

have a way of

clinging onto each other

we knew we weren’t compatible

but we held on

so that we weren't alone

when we first met

i had no idea

that i would become so attached

i have never

prayed for anything so badly

but i remember

begging the universe

that if it could hear me somehow
